Tooth Whitening

Tooth whitening, or bleaching, brightens teeth that are discolored, stained, or darkened due to age, eating habits or previous trauma.  Different patients need to bleach for varying amounts of time, and sometimes with different materials, depending on the desired result.  

We often recommend patients try over the counter Crest Whitestrips first to improve their smile.  If the desired result is not achieved, we offer dentist quality, professional strength materials that can produce a more dramatic result due to higher concentrations of the active whitening ingredient.  At Summit Dental Arts we take impressions of your teeth and make a tray specifically for you to use with bleaching gel to whiten at home.  Since you control how often and how much gel is used, the degree of whitening is controlled as well.  We also offer Zoom whitening, which is done in the office, and is often supplemented by at home bleaching trays.
